Why Tableskating Should Be A New Olympic Sport

By The International Tableskating Association

May 26, 2019

The International Tableskating Association (ITA) is the official authority and governing body in charge of the sport of Tableskating. This application is currently maintained by the ITA and was solely created for the IOC's approval. The ITA wishes to have Tableskating admitted into the International Sports Federation as either an officially recognized sport, event or discipline.

The ITA which is Tableskating's appointed international organization will enforce the Olympic Movement Anti-Doping Code, and any other rules set forth by the IOC including conducting effective tests on the sport’s competitors and any rules stipulated by the Olympic Charter.

This application establishes the key activity features of Tableskating that the ITA deeply believes are the most important among others:

1. As you probably already know, this art form has never been a recognized sport by any one nation.

2. Tableskating is like Skateboarding's complementary side dish. You just can't have one without the other.

3. We all know that Skateboarding uses one form of biomechanical propulsion...but did you know... Tableskating uses a primary and a secondary biomechanical propulsion almost simultaneously!

4. Tableskating is more energy efficient and safer to perform than many other Olympic games.

5. You want something challenging perhaps? Tableskating's got you covered there as well.

The ITA is sure there are many other reasons why it truly thinks the Olympic Games would be a perfect fit for its beloved Tableskating; among other well recognized international sporting event hosts. Sure, it doesn't have over 75 countries practicing it on a day to day but it sure would be nice to see those tableskater's and their tableskaters performing incredible tableskating maneuvers in front of the worlds greatest audience.
